MAKING A SPORE PRINT

Taking a spore print is fairly straight forward. You will only need a few simple things, and a fresh mushroom you would like to acquire the spores from.
Things You Will Need
- A Fresh Mushroom
- Clean New Construction Paper (In opposing color to the color of the spores)
- A clear container big enough to cover the diameter of the head of your mushroom
- Wash the work surface that you are planning to take your print on with disinfectant (lysol or alcohol)
- Place a clean piece of construction paper on the work surface.
- Place the head of your mushroom on the paper, gills side down.
- Place the clear container over the head of the mushroom
Your spores should release to the paper within 24 hours
